Fat Stem Cell Therapy 5 Step Treatment Procedure
Autologous¹ Adipose² Enriched³ Stem Cells can help reverse and repair some of the world's most common medical diseases. Infinite Horizons Medical Center has perfected the Treatment and Recovery process to help patients suffering from some common medical conditions such as, Osteoarthritis, Pulmonary Disease, and Diabetes Type II, as well as some Cosmetic Procedures like Face Lifts, Breast Augmentation, and Anti-Aging. You can click on any procedure named above to get more detailed information.
Below you'll find our 5 step treatment procedure explained in detail:
Fat Stem Cell Therapy Step 1 - Harvest
Preparing the abdomen It all starts with a local anesthetic to the abdominal area.
Mini Liposuction A board certified cosmetic surgeon, who is also trained in liposuction techniques will then perform a manual mini liposuction procedure.
Fat Quantity The amount of fat that is extracted depends on which treatment we are performing. In most cases we only need between 40-200cc of fat.
Fat Distribution The surgeon will take it from both sides of the abdomen to ensure proper distribution.
Time Once the fat required has been harvested it will be handed to the Lab Tech to begin processing. The Fat Harvesting process has taken roughly 30-50 minutes.
Fat Stem Cell Therapy Step 2 - Separate
Quantity of Fat Each test tube of harvested fat will now be handled by the Lab Tech who has been carefully trained by the Bio Tech Company that supplies us with this process. Not all the test tubes of fat will be processed. Some of the fat harvested may be needed to complete certain other cosmetic procedures.
Spinning The test tubes of harvested fat are spun using a patented centrifuge. This piece of medical equipment is specifically set to spin at varying speeds for varying time lengths. The end result is that we get a test tube of fat concentrated at the top and millions of stem cells on the bottom.
Only The Stem Cells Our Lab Tech, carefully extracts only the stem cells from the test tube. The stem cells are now ready to be Enriched³.
Time The Separation process takes roughly 30 minutes.
Fat Stem Cell Therapy Step 3 - Enrich
Draw Blood A registered nurse will take 50-100cc of blood from the patient to begin the process.
Centrifuge The blood is spun in a special centrifuge to separate blood components and get a concentration of platelets which contain growth factors. This is usually referred to as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).
Removal The lab tech will now remove these platelets, which contain growth factors, and add them to the stem cells extracted in Step 2.
Enriched Stem Cells Platelet Rich Plasma and Stem Cells are now ready for activation.
Time This entire process takes no longer than 15 minutes.
Fat Stem Cell Therapy Step 4 - Activate
Heliotherapy Between the years 2000 - 2009 the process of activating or waking up the stem cells was tried and tested.
In the early years stem cells reached an activated state of about 50%. Today the activated level is close to 98% imitating that of a young child.
This intense light activation, a closely guarded secret by our Bio Tech supplier, is reason for the success of this procedure.
The Lab Tech takes the tubes of enriched stem cells and places them into a medical apparatus which flashes light.
Time The activation process time is a closely guarded secret.
Fat Stem Cell Therapy Step 5 - Treat
Treatment The activated enriched stem cells are now ready to be transplanted to the client's body. The procedure to introduce the activated stem cells into the body depends on what condition we are treating.
In most cases activated stem cells are fed directly into the patient's blood stream using an intravenous drip. (image numbered 3)
In cosmetic cases surplus fat extracted during Step 2 as well as enriched activated stem cells are injected into specific areas to enhance, augment and shape, either breasts or hands, neck and face.

In osteoarthritis cases enriched activated stem cells are injected directly into affected areas like shoulders or knees. These patients will also receive an intravenous drip.
Time This process takes roughly 1-3 hours to complete.
